6 November 2014: Critical Infrastructure Security: Sydney
On the 6th of November Business Sweden and the Embassy of Sweden together with Saab Australia and Axis Communications arranged a conference in Sydney on the topic of Critical Infrastructure Security. The conference was opened by H.E. Pär Ahlberger, Swedish Ambassador to Australia and we were also delighted to have excellent local key note speakers from the Australian Federal Police, Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) and the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL). The presentation block concluded with presentations from Axis Communication’s global CEO Ray Mauritsson and Mark Slade, General Manager Security, Communications and Traffic Management, Saab Australia. We were delighted to have Ray visit Australia sharing Axis’ global experiences from critical infrastructure environments and the trends that he sees in the industry. As pointed out by H.E. Pär Ahlberger it is also great to listen to the solutions developed and offered by Saab Australia, taking security in critical infrastructure environments to new levels.
The purpose of the Critical Infrastructure Security conference was to address ways to detect, monitor, control and respond to threats and challenges posed to critical infrastructure. The aim was also to provide a forum for networking between Swedish and Australian industry leaders in the field of security. The event was attended by 70 people and example of guests include representatives of government organisations, security consultants, security system integrators and end users. The conference concluded with a networking lunch and we hope that the discussions will result in new and intensified collaborations and partnerships.
